Recent Results

1. Knowledge fusion patterns (selective fusion, simple fusion, extension, configuration, instantiation, flat fusion, adaptation, historical fusion) used in the context-aware decision support systems intended for smart spaces have been revealed. Application of the patterns, which are described in terms of the proposed pattern specification language (problem, solution, sets of initial and target knowledge sources, states (change/preservation) of the sources' autonomies and the sources' structures, fusion result in the system, fusion result in the ontology paradigm), enables to specify requirements to the context-aware systems being designed [1-4, 6-14, 16, 20-33, 36-40, 42, 44, 46].

2. A problem-oriented ontological model of smart space has been developed. It supports multilevel socially-inspired self-organization of the smart space resources. The ontological model is based on instantiation of problem-independent concepts via socially-oriented context-aware behavior modeling (taking into account behavior norms, preferences, etc.) and mechanisms of control policy (sets of behavior strategy principles and/or rules) transfer from higher levels of the hierarchy to lower ones [5, 15, 17-19, 34, 35, 41, 43, 45].

3. A method of specification of stochastic processes with given statistical characteristics and a method of numerical characteristics estimation for ergodic stochastic processes have been developed. Both methods are based on the extension of the situation-event formalism for specification of the interacting hybrid processes and allow simulation of the processes of stochastic and hybrid process interference. A method of estimating the probability of logic-dynamic situation occurrence and methods of using these estimations to prevent emergency situations have been developed. These methods are based on the method of random processes evaluation [13, 14, 25].
